Daniel Schlagwein is Professor at Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin School of Management and The University of Sydney Business School, joint Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology, and President of the AIS SIG Grounded Theory Methodology.
He is an internationally leading researcher on digital work and digital nomadism, with over 90 peer-reviewed papers and research that has directly informed Thai government policy, including advising on the 2024 Thai “digital nomad visa”. He co-authored “Assessing the Impacts of Digital Nomadism on Local Communities: The Case of Chiang Mai, Thailand”, the study that drew Thai government attention and helped establish the DTV.
